• The LEDC has directly and indirectly assisted in more
business recruitment, retention, and job creation during
2005 than any previous time in our 18-year history.
• Recruited Potting Shed Creations, LTD., from Pullman
to Troy. Potting Shed purchased the old Troy Middle
School property, thereby converting it from tax-exempt
property to taxable, and added 30 new jobs.
• Assisted Alpine Trailer Manufacturing to relocate to
a long abandoned mill site south of Deary. Five new jobs
were added.
• Assisted Kendrick Ag & Supply to purchase an existing
business and develop a marketing plan. Two new jobs were
created and two jobs retained.
• The Moscow-Latah County area has experienced very
steady but moderate growth over the past 20 years.
