The Latah Economic Development Council invites you join us as we continue our efforts to create living wage job opportunities and bring economic diversity to Moscow and Latah County. Community and economic development are complex and challenging tasks. We need your assistance to ensure that we not only create a vital economy but that we do so while maintaining the exceptional quality of life that we enjoy in the Palouse.

What has the LEDC done for our local economy in 2005?

• Provided business assistance to 112 companies in the area.
• Created 47 new jobs in Moscow and Latah County with a median wage of $17.71 per hour.
• Recruited Potting Shed Creations, LTD. to Troy. Potting Shed Creations purchased an old Troy school property, thereby converting it from tax-exempt property to taxable, and added 40 new jobs in a community of under 1000 residents.
• Assisted Alpine Trailer Manufacturing to relocate to a long abandoned mill site south of Deary. Five new jobs were added.
• Brought Comtech AHA Corporation to Moscow. Located them successfully in the Alturas Technology Park Phase I.
• Assisted Kendrick Ag & Supply to purchase an existing business and develop a marketing plan. Two new jobs were created and two jobs retained.
• Maintained a profitable Business Technology Incubator.
• Assisted with the development and marketing of Alturas Technology Park Phase II.
